Shemesh Tours is committed to making this website and our guiding services usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe every person has the right to reach digital content in a way that is equal, inclusive and straightforward.

This website has been designed and built with the aim of meeting Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at Level AA.

What we have done

Readable text throughout. Body text is set at a comfortable size with generous line spacing, and it reflows rather than breaking when you enlarge it in your browser.
A simple, consistent navigation structure. The same menu appears in the same place on every page, and a skip link lets keyboard users jump straight to the main content.
Keyboard access. Every link, button and form field can be reached and operated without a mouse, and the focused element is always visibly outlined.
Text alternatives for images. Photographs carry descriptions for screen reader users, and images that are purely decorative are hidden from screen readers so they do not add noise.
Color contrast. Text is set against its background at the contrast ratios the standard requires.
A responsive layout. The site adapts to phones and tablets, and it does not scroll sideways on a small screen.
Forms that explain themselves. Every field is labeled, and when something is missing the error is announced and tied to the field it belongs to.

Limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of this website may not be fully accessible. This may include certain images, design elements, or content provided by third parties such as embedded maps and reviews. Accessibility is not a one-off task, and we keep working at it.

If something here does not work for you, that is useful for us to know, and we would rather hear about it than not.

Accessibility arrangements for our tours

Many of our tours can be adapted. Some sites in Israel genuinely cannot be made step-free, and in those cases we will say so plainly before you book rather than after. Tell us what you need and we will tell you honestly what is possible and what is not.
